Hello Fae Folk community!

I know change can be scary sometimes, but we’re ready to look forward. I’m excited to be a co-owner with Carolynn and can’t wait wait for you to meet the Asrai. :D

A re-introduction -

As the member of the team you hear from the least, I figure I should re-introduce myself a bit. I’m Mossy, I handle the models, UVs, hand painted textures (historically for many of the LEs and Royals), rigging/skinning and animation for the majority of the Fae and almost the entirety of the Asrai.

At the moment besides finalizing the finishing touches on the graphics side of the Asrai, and planning for Fae LEs for Rock Your Rack, I’m mostly being overrun by a rambunctious calico kitten and trying to stay on top of my family, health and job irl (all of which also feel suspiciously like herding cats, but I digress ;D). I’m a bit shy, but please know how much I truly appreciate your enthusiasm for the Fae and Asrai.

The Asrai -

The Asrai are still slated to release in Beta soon, but we don't have an exact ETA date just yet. We have a few more things that need finalizing, but overall things are looking good. There’s many features we are eager for you to see, and we can't wait to hit the next milestone!

The Asrai have truly been a labor of love, building upon the groundwork laid by the Fae. The traits are designed to give them uniqueness, beauty, and detail. Work began (minus the planning, sketching and discussion stage) on the Asrai on May 18th of 2024, and it’s wonderful to see the project nearly complete.

Tanis’s Departure -

We are truly appreciative of all the love and work Tanis has put into the Fae and Asrai. We’re so thankful he’s going to assist with getting the Asrai Beta ready to launch, and respect that he wishes to step away from the team.

In his last blog post, Tanis kindly offered refunds to the community who previously purchased the Asrai during pre-sale. We acknowledge this generous offer, and understand the community’s desire for an update on the status of this. Given that Tanis made the decision to issue refunds personally, all we can ask is that you give him time and privacy so that he can continue to work on the Asrai backend systems and issue those when he is ready.

After reviewing the timeline originally specified in Tanis’s last post, Carolynn and I would like to request a separation of the timing of the refunds announcement from the launch of the Asrai beta.

We believe seperating these two events is the best choice for the health and future of the Asrai and the Fae Folk company as a whole. We do anticipate these updates to be potentially issued offset/staggered from one another. Our goal is to keep you informed as best we can during this transition, and to keep expectations clearer going forward.

((Please note- The vending system will still keep the names of those who purchased pre-sales so that those refunds can be issued when Tanis is next ready to move forward and we will allow him to provide an update on that front.))

With that said, thank you for your patience as we release future updates on the Asrai and the pre-sale refunds, and the Fae Folk updates as a whole.
